Sisters of the Road Gallery

Sisters of the Road partnered with Uber Freight to bring the artwork home to the USA in the form of a mobile truck mounted gallery space during Women’s History Month - March 2024.

The aim of the Sisters of the Road tour was to celebrate, aknowledge and give voice to trucker women in the USA who make up only 7% of the traditionally  male dominated trucking workforce.

The Sisters of the Road mobile gallery seamlessly moved between art world and trucking industry events and spaces and received such a warm reception and geniune interest in these women’s lives from the varied audiences.

The trucker women featured in the gallery portraits were active participants through out the tour, interacting with exhibition visitors and doing interviews with press. This created an environment for conversation, curiosity, education, and a platform for the trucker women to speak about what matters to them and their world.
